Alistair Middleton - Director and Carpenter

I have been in the building industry since 1997 (becoming a Registered Master Builder in 2004) and have been involved in a range of building projects from award-winning apartments in Wellington’s downtown to building the capital’s public toilets! Since then, I moved to Nelson, joined forces with Mick, and found continued success, notably in the House of the Year awards. I now serve on the Executive Committee of the MasterBuilders Association. Before building, I was a New Zealand rowing representative and rowing coach for Great Britain.

I have been working in the building industry since 1982. I began my working career in the UK, where I undertook extensive carpentry and joinery training. My family and I immigrated to New Zealand in 2000 and I became a Registered Master Builders Tradesman in 2003. I set up my own company, Edenbar Development Ltd, in Wellington, but was seduced by the Nelson lifestyle and moved here to establish Foothold Developments with Alistair.
